Four people died  Wednesday dawn and several others got injured when a 50 - seater VIP bus en route to Mim from Accra  veered off the road into a nearby thickets at Ata ne Ata,near Hwidiem in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The deceased ,a male and three females died on the spot after the X VIP bus with registration number GN 5179 -14  had Summersaulted.

ASP Damptey Brown,police commander for the Asutifi South district revealed the driver lost control over his steering wheel when he suddenly realised the vehicle had entered the bush.

"Twenty people were on the bus but some are injured and
 have been sent to the hospital," he added.

The driver,Samuel Obiri is in the grips of the Hwidiem police,assisting investigation.

An eye witness said she believed the driver was dozen off whilst the bus was over speeding.

The police have since advised drivers who ply the Tepa -Goaso road to drive with extra care since it is under construction and dusty.
